Kathie Sullivan has been a law librarian for 20 years in small to medium-sized law firms in Albany, New York and Burlington, Vermont. She is a highly skilled legal researcher in:

  • corporate and business litigation
  • intellectual property, including patents and trademarks
  • legislative intent

 

Ms. Sullivan has been using online databases such as Lexis and Westlaw for many years, but with the advent and improvements of legal materials on the Web, she is skilled at controlling costs by using free resources when available.

Ms. Sullivan has been involved in professional library associations for her entire career and has just finished serving a three year term as a Board member of the American Association of Law Libraries. As a speaker and author, she focuses on matters of teaching legal research methods, training legal paraprofessionals, and performing cost effective research.
